Briggs & Stratton V-Twin Recall

Briggs & Stratton has just issued a recall on model 40 V-Twin engines. The recall involves wiring that can wear and cause the ignition switch to malfunction preventing engine shut off.

This recall effects 40 V-Twin engines with date code 100201Y

These engines were used on the following mower models sold in early 2010:

Bad Boy model BBM4826BS
Craftsman model 247.289810
Husqvarna model 960460016

These models were sold at Home Depot, Sears and Tractor Supply Company.
Consumers who own any of these models should contact their local authorized Briggs & Stratton Dealer for repair.
